MSM Scuba is a Canadian based company that specializes in creating tailored scuba diving packages to Barbados . As scuba diving enthusiasts, it is our goal to expose the beauty and splendor of underwater Barbados .

Underwater Barbados

Barbados is the most Eastern of the Caribbean 's Windward Islands and unlike many of her neighbors the island is formed primarily of coral, thus making it an ideal diving destination. Incredible reefs and wrecks are the home of some of the richest variety of fish and colorful coral found in the Caribbean . Water temperature is a consistent 80 degrees F with visibility ranging from 30–70 feet. Divers can explore over 40 amazing dive sites. The fringes and reefs found off Barbados blossom with healthy sponges, coral and plant life. There are several types of reefs, each one unique in its own special way. Beautiful barrier reefs located a ½ to 2 miles from shore contain large coral heads, which form the habitat for thousands of beautiful fish. Larger organisms are also found on these reefs, feeding on the smaller fish. The Hawksbill turtle can also be found. Fringes and patching reefs are found closer to shore and have smaller coral formations and more abundant plant life than the barrier reefs. These reefs are home to Sea Horses, Frog Fish, Giant Sand Eels and many other marine creatures. There are 200 reported wrecks in Barbados waters and several of them are available for divers to explore including the Stavronikita, a 356 foot wreck that lies in 135 feet of water. The Stavronikita was deemed the best dive wreck in the Caribbean . Shallow reefs and wrecks are ideal for the novice, while deeper reefs and wrecks are sure to tantalize and challenge the experienced diver. There are over 20 prime dive sites that are within a 5-20 minute boat ride from the dive centres with depths ranging from 30-130 feet.

Not only is Barbados the jewel of the Caribbean, it is also one of the best kept secrets in the diving community. Barbados truly is a divers paradise!

Recompression Chamber

A full-equipped Recompression Chamber is located at the Barbados Defense Force Headquarters and is monitored 24hrs a day by two hyperbaric doctors.

With very high safety standards our attention is to the detail of each individual or dive group. All staff members are trained in Medical First Aid. Dives are led by an experienced dive Instructor and/or a certified dive master. Our dive shops are members of PADI/NAUI/BSAC/ACUC & DAN. We offer all levels of certification courses up to Assistant Instructor level and daily diving is offered seven days per week year round with the best conditions from November through September.
